Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Cell Phone Technician to join our team in providing expert repair and technical support for a wide range of mobile devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of various operating systems, hardware components, and troubleshooting techniques. This role involves diagnosing issues, repairing devices, and offering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Experience with both retail sales and field service is a plus, along with proficiency in working with schematics and detailed analysis skills.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues on mobile devices including Android and iOS platforms
- Use hand tools and specialized equipment to disassemble, troubleshoot, and reassemble mobile devices
- Conduct software troubleshooting for operating systems, applications, and firmware updates
- Provide technical support to customers in-store, ensuring optimal device performance
- Follow schematics and technical manuals to accurately identify problems and execute repairs
- Assist with retail sales by explaining device features, accessories, and repair services to customers
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used during service processes
- Stay updated on new device models, repair techniques, and industry best practices
Requirements
- Proven experience repairing mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets across various operating systems (Android, iOS)
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately
- Excellent analysis skills to diagnose complex hardware or software problems quickly
- Proficiency with hand tools used in electronic repairs
- Experience providing technical support in a retail or field service setting preferred
- Strong communication skills for customer interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
