Job Title: House Manager – Residential Group Home
Starting Pay: $19.25/negotiable depending on experience
Additional pay for weekend hours
We are seeking an experienced House Manager to oversee the daily routines and care of 2 adults with intellectual disabilities in a residential home setting. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, compassionate, and able to lead a team while supporting individuals in living as independently as possible.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support staff in completing daily duties
- Implement and monitor individual care plans for residents
- Coordinate medical appointments and manage medications
- Oversee housekeeping, meal preparation, and overall home maintenance
- Monitor the home’s budget and related expenses
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including:
- Community activities and appointments
- Food preparation and grocery shopping
- Cleaning and household organization
- Personal hygiene and grooming (toothbrushing, hair care, clothing selection, etc.)
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation for each individual according to their Individual Support Plan (ISP)
Qualifications
- Knowledge of state regulations and best practices for residential care
- Ability to supervise staff and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong budgeting and financial management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while leading a team with patience and sound judgment
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
Pre-Employment Requirements
- Pass a background screening
- TB (Tuberculosis) test
- Acceptable driving record (MVR)
- Current auto insurance
- Current Food Handler’s Permit
- CPR and First Aid Certification
