Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy construction equipment including excavators, cranes, bulldozers, loaders, forklifts, and other industrial machinery.
- Diagnose electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, diesel engines, air brakes, suspension systems, and HVAC components using schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure optimal operational performance.
- Conduct fabrication tasks such as welding and assembly to repair or modify machinery parts as needed.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques safely and effectively during repairs.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports to ensure compliance with safety standards and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks and tire services to support overall equipment maintenance and operational readiness.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a heavy equipment mechanic in a dealership or construction environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of construction machinery maintenance including excavators, cranes, tractors-trailers, farm machinery, and industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in electrical diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, hydraulic troubleshooting, and diesel engine repair.
- Familiarity with schematics for electrical systems and mechanical components is essential.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and power lifting devices safely.
- Valid experience with OEM parts replacement and fabrication techniques such as welding or metal fabrication.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.

Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
