Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including home, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health status by observing vital signs and overall well-being, reporting any concerns promptly
- Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and safety
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
- Use proper patient transfer methods, including Hoyer lifts and other manual handling techniques, to ensure safe mobility
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks and adherence to infection control protocols
- Provide emotional support and effective communication to foster trust and comfort for clients with dementia, autism, or other disabilities
Requirements
- Prior experience working in group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders is advantageous
- Ability to observe patients carefully and document changes accurately for care plans
- Experience with patient monitoring tools such as vital signs measurement and patient transfer methods
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications like HIPAA training are a plus
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, assist with manual handling tasks, and support patient transfers safely
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams

Pay: $17.00 per hour
