Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dishes while maintaining the standards of our restaurant. You will work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure that all food is prepared efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure that all food handling and safety regulations are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including utensils and cooking equipment.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients and meal components for service.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management.
- Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setting up workstations and cleaning up after service.
- Support the dietary department by accommodating special dietary needs as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Line Cook in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant setting is preferred.
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods.
- Familiarity with food service operations, including food handling and safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in using kitchen equipment.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- A passion for cooking and a desire to contribute positively to the culinary team.
