Structural Designer – Advanced Technology Facilities (Remote)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Structural Designer to support the development of advanced technology and industrial manufacturing facilities, including semiconductor fabrication and support environments. This role is responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D structural models, producing construction-ready documentation, and coordinating across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in structural drafting and design, advanced Revit modeling capabilities, and the ability to independently manage assigned project scope from concept through final deliverables. This individual may also lead small design packages and provide guidance to junior designers while ensuring quality, coordination, and schedule adherence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate 3D structural models using verbal direction, markups, sketches, and engineering input
- Produce complete, coordinated, and construction-ready drawing packages for assigned project scope
- Create conceptual and detailed structural designs supporting advanced manufacturing and semiconductor facilities
- Ensure all work complies with client and departmental drafting/modeling standards
- Take ownership of assigned scope, including coordination, quality, and schedule management
- Review models and drawing sets for accuracy, completeness, and standards compliance prior to QA/QC review
- Coordinate closely with engineers and other disciplines to resolve design and documentation conflicts
- Execute deliverables independently with minimal supervision
- Lead small project packages and support coordination/delivery through other designers
- Assist with workload balancing, team coordination, and maintaining project schedules
- Support internal reviews, clash detection efforts, BIM coordination, and cross-discipline collaboration
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to technical problem-solving activities
- Continue developing design automation and emerging technology skills

Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of structural drafting/design experience
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on Revit experience
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned design scope effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of structural drafting/design experience
- 5+ years of Revit experience
- Experience with SmartPlant and Tekla
- Experience using Navisworks and Bluebeam
- Experience designing structural steel and concrete systems
- Experience supporting industrial or semiconductor-related facilities

Work Environment
This is a remote position; however, occasional travel to an electronics office may be required for collaboration, project support, or team meetings.
Pay: $48.00 - $50.00 per hour
