GLO Resources is currently hiring an experienced Maintenance Lead to work in Baton Rouge, LA. The pay rate is between $28 - $30 per hour, depending on experience. The schedule is Monday – Friday, 5:00 am – 1:45 pm with occasional overtime and weekend work as needed. Position Summary:
The Maintenance Lead oversees daily maintenance operations, ensuring all facility and production equipment run safely and efficiently. This hands-on role includes managing a team of technicians, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and maintaining accurate records through a CMMS system. It requires strong leadership, mechanical knowledge, and a focus on safety and continuous improvement. Ideal candidates have several years of manufacturing maintenance and supervisory experience, with technical certifications such as CMRP or HVAC considered a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities to ensure production equipment and facilities are safe and fully operational.
- Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance inspections for hydraulic/ pneumatic machinery, production equipment, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Lead, train, and support a team of maintenance technicians to complete both scheduled and urgent repair tasks.
- Implement and manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for tracking and improving maintenance processes.
- Monitor spare parts and equipment inventory, ensuring materials are available when needed.
- Conduct safety and compliance inspections.
- Assist in preparing and managing maintenance budgets and cost controls.
- May be assigned other duties, as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License.
- 5-7 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing/ fabrication environment.
- 2-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional), HVAC, or equivalent certifications preferred.
- Strong knowledge of plant equipment, mechanical systems, and production machinery.
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including the ability to read related schematics.
- Electrical maintenance experience is required.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, control boards, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
- Experience using CMMS software and managing maintenance records.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Working knowledge of CAD and MS Project is a plus.
- Proficient with common maintenance tools and measuring equipment, including:
- Digital multimeters
- Non-contact voltage testers
- Calipers and micrometers
- Wrenches
- Pliers
- Other standard hand and diagnostic tools
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem solving skills.
- Must be willing to submit to a drug screening and background check.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves regular physical activity, including:
- Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
- Standing and sitting at a desk working on a computer for prolonged periods.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching.
- Pushing and pulling heavy objects.
- Lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds at a time.
