We are seeking a full-time Mechanic / Equipment Refurbishment Technician to join our shop team. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical skills who is comfortable diagnosing and repairing engines, refurbishing equipment, and helping with general shop needs as they come up.
Time in this role will be split between mechanic work, equipment refurbishment, and other tasks needed to keep the shop running efficiently.
Starting pay is $25 per hour.
Description
- Diagnose and repair engine-related mechanical issues
- Refurbish equipment, including cleaning, repairing, replacing parts, and preparing equipment for paint
- Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on engines and related systems
- Electrical troubleshooting experience is preferred, but not required.
- Work on material handling equipment, forklifts, and other shop equipment as needed
- Read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and repair documentation
- Assist with general shop tasks as needed
- Complete repairs safely, efficiently, and accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Requirements
- Experience as an auto mechanic, equipment mechanic, or similar mechanical role
- Strong mechanical diagnostic and repair skills
- Comfortable working on a variety of equipment and mechanical systems
- Ability to refurbish, repair, and improve used equipment
- Basic electrical troubleshooting experience preferred, but not required
- Willingness to help with general shop needs as they come up
Schedule and Pay
- Full-time
- 40 hours per week
- Starting pay: $25/hour
- Vacation pay
