Facility Custodian
Applications are being accepted for a full-time facility custodian with Randall County Juvenile Probation/Youth Center of the High Plains. Submission to a drug test, physical exam and background check is required. Randall County is an E.O.E.
Definition
It is the responsibility of the facility custodian to ensure the cleanliness and appearance of buildings and grounds of Randall County Juvenile Probation/Youth Center of the High Plains.
Salary
$40,766.73 ($19.59 hourly); plus, full county benefits which include optional health, dental, and vision plans, bereavement leave, longevity pay, holiday leave, vacation leave, sick leave, up to a 2% cost of living raise annually, up to a 1% performance increase annually, etc.

Required
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Current Texas driver’s license (and insurable)
- High school diploma or GED
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled cleaning of all buildings and grounds
- Ensure spaces are prepared by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces
- Clean toilets and sink and restock disposables
- Wipe mirrors and windows
- Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets
- Continually, inspect all buildings and grounds for any safety or security problems
- Maintain all cleaning equipment and ensure proper inventory of janitorial supplies and cleaning equipment for the facility
- Removing snow and applying ice melt to walkways, parking lots, and driveways
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge of
- Proper cleaning practices
- Proper use of cleaning chemicals
- Safety practices using various equipment and chemicals
Experience
- One years’ experience in janitorial field preferred
