Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Restaurant Staff for POWL to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced food service environment, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth restaurant operations. Ideal candidates will have a passion for the food industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a team setting. Prior experience in food preparation, POS systems, or food service is a plus, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn.
Duties
- Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring guest satisfaction
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all areas of the restaurant, including food prep stations, dining areas, and kitchen spaces
- Assist with food safety practices, proper food handling, and sanitation procedures
- Buss tables, clear dishes, and assist with general restaurant cleanliness
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation and food industry best practices
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
Experience
- Previous experience in a quick service or fast-food restaurant is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with food industry standards such as food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling techniques is advantageous
- Experience with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus but not mandatory; training will be available
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math understanding, and order accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment such as a café or casual dining setting
- Prior experience in retail math or grocery store environments can be beneficial but is not essential
