About the Role
We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Yard Specialist to support our automotive recycling and resale operations. This position is crucial in ensuring that all our recycled automotive parts meet our high-quality standards through thorough inspection, accurate documentation, and effective inventory management. If you take pride in your work, enjoy learning, and don’t need someone breathing down your neck to do a job well, this might be in your lane.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive quality audits and inspections of recycled automotive parts to verify compliance with established standards.
- Perform quality control checks throughout the recycling process to identify defects or inconsistencies.
- Inspecting, cleaning, photographing, and electronically documenting parts.
- Tagging and preparing recycled OEM parts for sale.
- Loading sold parts for distribution.
- Unpack and process incoming freight from the parts network.
- Stock and organize parts throughout the yard.
- Perform inventory management, including scanning and verifying building locations.
- Identify part types by manufacturer and application.
- Operate a forklift (training provided if needed).
- Maintain accuracy, organization, and quality control standards at all times.
- Support root cause analysis efforts for quality discrepancies and participate in problem-solving sessions.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, audits, and corrective actions for traceability and reporting purposes.
What We’re Looking For
- A positive, curious attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday.
- Some automotive knowledge preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Comfortable using a computer and smartphone for documentation and inventory.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively report findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
