Pay Type: Hourly
Work Week: Tuesday-Friday 8am to 5pm, and Saturday 8am to 1pm
The primary responsibilities of the position are to provide pre-examination testing for the doctors and to at times assist in eye wear selection for the patients of our practice. This includes all selling, fitting, and dispensing of eye wear within the boutique.
Delivering an exceptional experience for the patient is paramount! Therefore, a deep understanding and knowledge of our product lines is imperative.
You will be working closely with the Doctors to provide our patients with the best possible experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize exam rooms
- Perform pre-examination work-up for doctors
- Assist patients with frame and lens selection with an eye towards multiple pair sales
- Collect appropriate measurements and complete full ordering process for patients
- Communicate the differences between the different products in a way the patient can understand.
- Frame adjusting
- Assisting in other duties around the office
Competencies:
- Communication Skills: Must be able to effectively communicate with our patients around all our optical products including frames, lenses, etc. Communicating in a manner by which the patient understands technical terminology in the layman language is essential.
- Technical Abilities: Must be able to accurately measure and record patient information, including PDs, Segment heights, etc.
- Sales Skills: The ability to effectively communicate the benefits of all optical products is required. Providing our patients with exceptional service is a cornerstone of our brand. The sales associate's role in delivering on our brand is integral
Experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications
- Understanding of ophthalmology and medical terminology
- Experience in a medical office setting with knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Proficient in patient care and maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Ability to perform intake procedures and measure vital signs
- Familiarity with EMR systems and medical billing/coding
- Excellent communication skills and experience in retail sales
- Aseptic technique and optical experience are preferred

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
