Responsibilities

- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing.
- Stock shelves, merchandise displays, and organize products to maintain an attractive shopping environment.
- Assist with inventory management by stocking new items and conducting regular stock checks.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and offering personalized recommendations.
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales revenue.
- Answer phone calls and schedule grooming appointments.
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
- Supervising experience or leadership skills are a plus for supporting team efforts.
- Ability to perform product demos confidently and clearly explain features to customers.
- Strong phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally over the phone.
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and retail math for accurate pricing and inventory management.
- Excellent communication skills to connect with customers and team members alike.
- Experience working in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous.
- Basic math skills for transactions, stock counts, and sales calculations.
