The Warehouse Material Handle will work with facilities management in developing and administering the overall warehouse plan and implementing processes. Assignments on warehouse operations, usually requiring originality and ingenuity, will be based on client needs.
- Prepare, coordinate and ensure that all fire, life safety and other safety programs are established and followed as required for the Warehouse.
- Complete Dow MyLearning and NFK learnings within assigned timelines.
- Attending regularly scheduled Safety meetings. (broken down into 2 bullets)
- Responsible for a positive prompt response to requests from building tenants and for the implementation of ongoing contract programs to constantly assess tenant needs and to assure problems are being solved promptly, and to the mutual benefit of the tenant and the properties.
- Unload all truck deliveries to the site including chemicals, packages, mail, along with other miscellaneous items.
- Responsible for the completion of assigned work order tasks as needed.
- Log chemicals received into CisPro.
- Sign for shipments and submit paperwork to the receiving clerk.
- Transporting of packages to designated areas.
- Transport materials and equipment from warehouse to the labs as requested by R&D.
- Organize chemical and equipment storage in the warehouse and outside areas.
- Complete housekeeping in material storage areas of the warehouse.
- Organize the pallets as required for waste shipments.
- Assist Wood Group with waste shipment loading.
- Prepare shipments of equipment and samples for R&D.
- Other tasks as assigned by Dow sponsor or Newmark facilities management.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required or equivalent experience
- General computer knowledge. (Microsoft Office Applications)
- Must be dedicated to the highest quality and customer satisfaction.
- Excellent written and oral skills.
- Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of particular field of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments.
- Forklift license, preferred.
