Responsibilities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions with accuracy and speed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and offering product recommendations.
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, enhancing the customer’s shopping experience.
- Handle cash register operations including cash handling, cashiering, and managing the cash drawer with integrity.
- Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining an attractive store layout through effective merchandising.
- Upsell products by identifying customer needs and suggesting complementary items to increase sales.
- Maintain professional phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries.
- Support inventory management by participating in stock replenishment and inventory counts as needed.
- Communicate product knowledge confidently to educate customers about store offerings and promotions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and store policies during daily operations.
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in a cashiering or customer service role.
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in guiding team members or managing daily store activities.
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail math for accurate transaction processing.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for cash handling and sales totals.
- Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Strong communication skills to engage customers professionally and clearly convey product information.
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and upselling strategies is advantageous.
