About UsK Precision LLC is a family-owned precision machining shop in Elkhorn, WI. We run CNC mills and lathes doing prototype and production work. We’re quality-focused (100% inspection culture), move fast, and take pride in clean, accurate parts.What You’ll Do
- Run CNC mills and lathes with job-to-job flexibility
- Read blueprints and verify parts meet print requirements
- Set and adjust work/tool offsets and wear comps to hold tolerance
- Perform in-process and final inspection using common measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, pin/thread gauges, etc.)
- Troubleshoot basic issues (tool wear, size drift, finish issues) and communicate problems early
- Support setups as needed (we have a lead doing setups, but you should be capable and willing to help)
- Keep your area clean, organized, and safe
What We’re Looking ForRequired
- CNC machining experience on mills and/or lathes
- Strong blueprint reading skills; basic GD&T is a plus
- Comfortable inspecting your own work and documenting key dimensions when needed
- Comfortable making offsets/adjustments to maintain part quality
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
Nice to Have
- Job shop experience (varied work, prototypes + production)
- Experience holding tighter tolerances (commonly ±0.002" and tighter)
- Experience with both mills and lathes (or willingness to cross-train)
