Pool Technician
The Pool Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall condition of the resort?s pools and spa areas. This role ensures that all water features are clean, safe, and operating efficiently in accordance with health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Perform daily inspections of all pool and spa systems, including pumps, filters, heaters, and chemical controllers.
Test and balance water chemistry to maintain proper pH, chlorine, and alkalinity levels in compliance with local health regulations.
Clean pool surfaces, skimmers, and filters; vacuum pools as needed to ensure cleanliness and clarity.
Monitor and adjust pool and spa equipment, making minor repairs or notifying leadership when major repairs are required.
Maintain proper chemical inventory and safely store all pool-related supplies and equipment.
Keep accurate records of chemical usage, water quality readings, and maintenance performed.
Ensure pool areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards for guest safety.
Stay accessible to engineering leadership and respond promptly to pool-related guest service requests.
Learn and follow emergency procedures related to pool and water safety.
Other duties related to pool and spa operations as assigned by the Chief Engineer.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 year of experience in pool maintenance or a related field
Licenses/Certifications
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred
Other technical certifications (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing) a plus but not required for pool technician focus
