Steamer Lane Design is a Production Assistants to work in laser engraving, product assembly, and shipping. We are located on the westside of Santa Cruz and make laser engraved souvenirs for gift shops and National Parks around the country.
***This is a 6+ week temporary position, 20-30 hours per week***
Pay is $21/hr.
A typical day includes:
Assembling pins, keychains and ornaments.
Gluing magnets to wood pieces.
Packing and shipping orders.
The majority of your time will be spent assembling small products. Assembly requires fast hands, finger dexterity and an eye for detail. The tasks can be very repetitive - imagine gluing the same part 1,000 times in one shift.
You’ll be working with a small team in a steady work environment where you’ll stay busy from start to finish. There is a strong focus on quality control and efficiency. There is no customer interaction, and you can listen to music with headphones while you work. If you’re motivated, dependable, and ready to be part of a dedicated team, this role is a great fit.
