About the position:
The Account Executive serves as a vital member of the home health team, responsible for generating referral growth, converting referrals to admissions, and fostering strong partnerships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other healthcare providers. This position requires exceptional relationship-building skills, a solid understanding of post-acute care, payer sources, and a dedication to connecting patients with high-quality home health services.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with referral sources across the territory, including physicians, discharge planners, case managers, and community partners.
- Present and promote home health services, emphasizing patient eligibility, payer source options (Traditional Medicare vs. Medicare Advantage), and seamless transitions of care.
- Identify new business opportunities and convert them into active, ongoing referral partnerships.
- Educate healthcare providers on the benefits and appropriate use of home health, ensuring understanding of coverage, regulations, and admission criteria.
- Collaborate closely with clinical and operations teams, following established intake workflows, follow-up processes, and branch standards to ensure smooth admissions and patient satisfaction.
- Attend case conferences, focus meetings, and other required meetings as assigned.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly admission goals.
- Maintain accurate records in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, track activity, document sales calls, and report outcomes consistently.
Qualifications:
- Proven success in healthcare sales, preferably within home health, hospice, or post-acute care.
- Strong understanding of home health eligibility, referral processes, and payer source requirements.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and succeed in a fast=paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license with a reliable transportation.
