Purpose: To assist in planning and leading worship for the Modern Worship Service.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
· To be a mature Christian, who recognizes Scripture as the final authority for faith and practice on the things which it speaks.
· To have a general understanding of the essential doctrine of the EPC and to share exceptions to doctrine with the Lead Pastor.
· Be a team player.
· A passion for excellence in worship.
· Understanding of Pro-Presenter and Sound Boards is a plus.
Responsibilities:
o Plan and coordinate the order of worship and song selections, coordinating with the pastor, keeping sermon series and church calendar in mind.
o Ensure Pro-Presenter is ready weekly to be used as a tool in worship.
o Prepare for and lead worship band rehearsals as needed (usually weekly).
o Recruit, train, and equip volunteers to assist in worship.
o Lead worship service(s) as scheduled.
o Comply with CCLI and CCS licensing requirements, and communicate with office manager about this.
o Provide spiritual leadership for the worship team, seeking to ensure the focus remains on glorifying God and edifying the church, rather than performing for a crowd.
o Other duties as needed.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
