American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift position requiring an active PA or Compact RN license and at least 1 year of telemetry experience.

Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital environment
-
Cardiac telemetry patient population with a 1:6 patient ratio
-
Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
-
13-week assignment length
-
Floating required within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed

Cerner charting experience preferred
-
Active PA or Compact RN license required
-
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications only)

Minimum 1 year of telemetry nursing experience required
-
Charting system experience required
-
Prior charge nurse experience preferred
-
Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
-
Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, and blood product administration
-
Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration
-
Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and rapid response/code teams
-
Experience with cardiovascular care including pacemakers and pre/post cardiac cath and surgery
-
Provide telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring and management of dysrhythmias
-
Manage IV therapy, central and peripheral lines, and blood product administration
-
Provide respiratory support including oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management
-
Care for patients with neurological, gastrointestinal, and genitourinary/renal conditions
-
Administer medications per heparin protocols and manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration)
-
Provide wound care and isolation precautions/PPE as needed
-
Must be available to work every other holiday
