Position Summary
Future Foam is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support our Middleton, Wisconsin manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on HR role that provides the opportunity to support a wide range of human resources functions while partnering closely with plant leadership, employees, and Corporate HR.
The ideal candidate is a bilingual HR professional who is organized, approachable, and passionate about supporting employees while helping drive a positive workplace culture. This position will assist with employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, training, safety initiatives, and HR compliance activities.
Responsibilities
Human Resources Support
- Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to plant managers, supervisors, and employees.
- Support the consistent application of company policies, procedures, and HR practices.
- Maintain accurate employee records, including hiring documentation, personnel changes, benefit forms, and termination paperwork.
- Process employee data and maintain timekeeping records with a high level of accuracy.
- Assist employees with questions related to benefits, policies, procedures, and employment-related matters.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and company information.
Recruiting & Staffing
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and supporting hiring decisions.
- Partner with HR leadership and plant managers to identify staffing needs and recommend solutions.
- Coordinate temporary staffing needs with managers and staffing agencies.
- Support onboarding activities and ensure new employees have the necessary documentation and resources.
Employee Relations & Training
- Support HR leadership in preparing documentation related to employee performance and workplace concerns.
- Assist with the development and coordination of employee training programs.
- Help communicate company initiatives, policies, and expectations to employees.
- Support employee engagement activities and company events.
Compliance & Safety Support
- Assist with administration of employee leave programs, including Workers' Compensation, FMLA, and ADA processes.
- Participate as a member of the plant Safety Committee.
- Support the Safety Coordinator with training activities, documentation, and safety initiatives.
- Assist with maintaining HR-related materials, including employee forms, and training resources.
Communication & Culture
- Provide English/Spanish translation support for written materials, presentations, and employee meetings.
- Build positive relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Promote a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
- 3–5 years of Human Resources experience or a combination of education and related experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and credibility with employees and leaders at all levels.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience supporting HR functions in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with employee relations, recruiting, training, and safety programs.
