What You'll Do
Cost Accounting & Inventory Management
Analyze and reconcile raw material and finished goods inventory across multiple business units.
Monitor inventory transactions, production activity, manufacturing expenses, and intercompany transfers.
Maintain labor, overhead, and manufacturing cost rates used in product costing.
Lead and coordinate physical inventory counts, investigate variances, and ensure inventory accuracy.
Prepare monthly inventory analyses, usage reports, trend reports, and manufacturing performance metrics.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Generate divisional income statements, margin reports, and manufacturing financial reports.
Analyze gross profit trends and report significant variances to leadership.
Prepare accruals, journal entries, rebates, commissions, and other month-end accounting activities.
Support the monthly close process and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Fixed Asset Accounting
Track capital projects and asset additions from acquisition through depreciation.
Assign asset classifications, determine depreciation methods, and maintain fixed asset records.
Reconcile fixed asset accounts and prepare monthly depreciation entries.
Ensure compliance with applicable tax depreciation regulations.
Payroll & Sales Accounting Support
Process payroll-related journal entries and maintain departmental allocations.
Reconcile sales and cost of goods sold accounts and post necessary adjustments.
Prepare customer rebate calculations and monthly sales reporting.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Management, Finance, or a related field.
Experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, product costing, fixed assets, and financial reporting.
Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Ability to collaborate across Accounting, Operations, HR, and Leadership teams.
