New Hope Support Services, LLC (NHSS) provides Community-based Mental Health Services for individuals in the Western, Central and Southern Virginia areas.
We are seeking a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) or License-Eligible LMHP to complete mental health assessments for individuals seeking community-based services. This is a contracted position ideal for clinicians who value autonomy, flexible scheduling, and meaningful work that directly supports access to care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete comprehensive mental health assessments for adults according to regulations and program requirements
- Determine eligibility for community‑based services
- Provide diagnostic impressions and clinical recommendations, including care coordination needs
- Submit timely, accurate, and compliant clinical-level documentation
- Communicate professionally with referral sources, care coordinators, and agency staff
- Maintain ethical standards and confidentiality in accordance with state and federal regulations
REQUIREMENTS
· LMHP OR LMHP‑Eligible (Resident/Supervisee)
· Active registration with VA Board of Counseling or Social Work
· Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
- Experience with the delivery of Medicaid-funded services
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
· Proficiency in using modern technology for communication and timely submission of assessments
· Reliable transportation
