General Summary:
The Account Manager is responsible for managing existing OEM sales/accounts and related Tier sales/accounts while working with customers for sales growth opportunities of Parker Americas Inc. Products. Ability to establish and build relationships with customers, quoting new business opportunities, resolving commercial issues, and communicating account issues to management are basic requirements of this position.
Responsibilities will be for Honda and Toyota Accounts and related Tier Customers. Speaking Japanese is a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Obtains and responds to RFQs from customers in a timely manner. Ability to follow the costing process internally to establish proper price quotes for the customer.
2. Works with Accounting Department as necessary to resolve past due A/R issues on any customer accounts within their responsibility.
3. Report out latest Sales Updates from customer accounts during monthly sales meetings.
4. Obtain payments from customers for any obsolescence or dead stock which the customer is responsible for.
5. Communicate with various levels of management, technical staff, customer support personnel and
representatives of affiliated companies to discuss customer requirements and coordinate response activities.
6. Coordinates sample requests from customers and shares progress of customer activity prior to booking business.
7. Develop Sales Budget based on account responsibility to support the overall Sales Budget for Parker Americas Inc. each Fiscal Year.
8. Maintains awareness of competitor’s activity and industry business trends.
10. Works with Accounting to set-up new customer account commercial requirements (Credit Limit, Payment Terms), when necessary.
11. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, Engineering or Business degree preferred;
· 5+ years’ experience in sales and marketing; technical products helpful; or a combination of education and experience.
· Experience in international business (trading) is helpful.
· Must be a self-starter and have the drive to build sales
· Strong communicator.
· Problem solving capabilities.
· Good math skills.
· Experience with Microsoft 365.
· Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions.
