Job Summary:
As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing, treating, and managing communication and swallowing disorders in our residents. You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans, provide education and training to residents, families, and staff, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Responsibilities:
Conduct initial evaluations and continued assessments of residents' communication and swallowing disorders
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address residents' specific needs
Provide treatment sessions, including speech therapy, language therapy, and swallowing therapy
Educate and train residents, families, and staff on communication and swallowing techniques
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and physical therapists
Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident assessments, treatments, and progress
Stay current with industry developments and best practices through ongoing education and professional development
Requirements:
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
Clinical Fellowship (CF) completed
Illinois Speech Language Pathology license
