Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated Restoration Estimator who can work independently in the field as well as in our Frankfort office location. This role is ideal for someone with strong trade knowledge who is eager to expand their expertise in the restoration industry.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site visits to assess property damage
- Take photos and document the full scope of necessary repairs
- Prepare accurate and detailed repair estimates using Xactimate, Symbility, and other related applications
- Communicate and negotiate effectively with insurance carriers to achieve optimal claim outcomes
- Collaborate with homeowners to ensure satisfaction throughout the process
- Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and job progress
Qualifications
- Knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, and mitigation processes
- Strong computer and estimating software skills (Xactimate and Symbility experience preferred)
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to advocate repair costs
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license (required)
- Ability to pass a background check
- Construction experience or related knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- IICRC Certified is a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time position
- Primarily Monday–Friday (schedule may vary based on business needs)
- Competitive pay based on experience
Work Location
- In person – Office located in Frankfort, IL and field-based work in the Southwestern suburbs of Chicago and Northwest Indiana
