Job Description:
We are currently expanding and taking on an exciting commercial renovation project: transforming an older building into a modern, multi-use facility for retail and fitness/exercise spaces. We are seeking an experienced Contract Carpenter / Skilled Laborer for a long-term, temporary contract (approximately 12 to 18 months).
In this role, you will be tag-teaming directly with our lead facilities team member, to execute building improvements, office layout reconfigurations, interior framing, drywall, raycore paneling, window installations, and basic structural modifications. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate daily with our internal lead on structural and cosmetic building improvements.
- Assist with interior carpentry, framing, window cutting/installations, and drywall adjustments.
- Help prepare spaces for office relocation and facility adjustments (including basic layout modifications).
- Operate standard carpentry power tools and equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in carpentry, residential/commercial remodeling, or structural construction.
- Skills: Strong understanding of wood framing, finish carpentry, basic layout prints, and tool safety.
- Reliability: Punctual, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as a tight-knit duo.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle the physical demands of standard carpentry work.
- Must have reliable transportation to our facility in Holyoke, MA.
Pay: $19.00 - $26.00 per hour
