Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum development standards and early childhood education best practices.
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior management strategies and fostering a safe, inclusive environment for all children.
- Work closely with children across different age groups, including toddlers, preschoolers, and early learners, to promote literacy education, math skills, and social-emotional growth.
- Contribute to classroom activities that incorporate Montessori methods or other educational philosophies to enhance learning outcomes.
- Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that supports child welfare and daycare safety protocols.
- Collaborate with staff on individualized education plans (IEPs) for children requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Participate in ongoing training related to childhood development, behavior management techniques, and standardized testing preparation when applicable.
Requirements
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management strategies, and early intervention techniques.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or tutoring activities.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Experience with classroom experience involving literacy education, math instruction, or Montessori methods is preferred.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments as a floater teacher while maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm.
