Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide product information
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with precision and integrity
- Assist customers with product selection, upselling items to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restock shelves, and ensure merchandise displays are attractive and well-stocked
- Use strong communication skills to address customer inquiries in person professionally
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and participating in stock replenishment and inventory management
Qualifications
- Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred, especially in restaurants, grocery stores, or similar environments
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling and transaction balancing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a diverse customer base effectively
- Experience supervising or mentoring team members is advantageous but not required
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
