Position Summary: The Insurance Analyst is responsible for researching, analyzing, and resolving outstanding insurance claims to maximize reimbursement and reduce accounts receivable. This position serves as a key member of the revenue cycle team by investigating claim denials, identifying reimbursement issues, monitoring payer trends, and ensuring accurate claim resolution while maintaining exceptional customer service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Research outstanding claim balances using online research via insurance company portals, and telephone calls to organizations regarding claims status.
- Professionally communicate with insurance resources by website, e-mail, telephone, and customer service departments, etc.
- Take initiative to utilize and apply industry knowledge to resolve outstanding claims
- Accurately document progress of each claim throughout cycle
- Reviews and works the claim denial report
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient and clinic information
- Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year experience in NextGen working insurance claims (preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) with at least 1 year of medical collections, claim denials, CPT, ICD 10 or billing experience.
