We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to help expand our referral network and grow our presence throughout Arlington and surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for a healthcare sales professional who enjoys building relationships, developing referral partnerships, and creating new business opportunities. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can independently build connections with healthcare professionals, community organizations, and referral partners.
Position Summary
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for increasing agency visibility, developing strategic referral relationships, and supporting patient census growth through healthcare marketing, community outreach, and relationship management.
The successful candidate will build and maintain partnerships with hospitals, physicians, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, rehabilitation centers, case managers, and other healthcare referral sources.
This position starts as a part-time role paying $30/hour for the first 90 days. Candidates who demonstrate successful performance, strong relationship development, and business growth results will have the opportunity to transition into a full-time Business Development Manager role with uncapped commission opportunities and additional benefits.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Territory Growth
- Develop and execute strategies to increase referrals and admissions.
- Build and expand referral relationships throughout Arlington and surrounding communities.
- Identify new business opportunities and potential referral partners.
- Research market trends, competitors, and growth opportunities.
- Support agency growth goals and census development.
Referral Source Development
Build and maintain professional relationships with:
- Hospitals
- Physicians and physician groups
- Hospital discharge planners
- Case managers
- Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs)
- Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs)
- Rehabilitation facilities
- Senior living communities
- Social workers
- Community organizations
- Workers' compensation referral sources
Sales & Community Marketing
- Conduct scheduled marketing visits with referral partners.
- Introduce BrightStar Care services to healthcare professionals.
- Coordinate presentations, educational meetings, and lunch-and-learn events.
- Attend healthcare networking events and community outreach activities.
- Increase awareness of BrightStar Care services throughout the market.
Referral Management & Tracking
- Manage referral opportunities from initial contact through admission.
- Maintain accurate records of marketing activities and referral relationships.
- Track referral outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with clinical and operations teams to ensure excellent service delivery.
Reporting & Accountability
- Maintain CRM records and activity documentation.
- Submit weekly marketing and business development reports.
- Track referral growth and territory progress.
- Meet established outreach and business development goals.
