Tiello is partnered with a nationally recognized Fire Protection contractor in their search for a Licensed Sprinkler Journeyman to support commercial and industrial service operations throughout the Greater Boston/North Shore market. Role Summary:
The ideal candidate will have experience servicing, inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining commercial fire sprinkler systems. This individual will be responsible for ensuring fire protection systems remain compliant with NFPA standards while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining accurate inspection and service documentation.

Job Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections, testing, preventative maintenance, and repairs on wet, dry, and pre-action fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA 25 standards.
- Inspect sprinkler piping, valves, fittings, heads, and related system components for deficiencies, corrosion, leaks, and damage.
- Test sprinkler system functionality, including sprinkler heads, control valves, piping, pumps, and associated equipment.
- Perform repairs by replacing damaged or malfunctioning sprinkler components and making necessary system adjustments.
- Inspect and test fire pump assemblies, including flow testing, pressure verification, and mechanical operation.
- Respond to emergency service calls, troubleshoot system issues, and restore fire protection systems to proper working condition.
- Complete detailed inspection reports, work orders, customer documentation, and parts usage utilizing the ServiceTrade platform.
- Work closely with estimating and deficiency sales teams by documenting repair recommendations and material requirements.
- Coordinate with Service Coordinators to maximize scheduling efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding inspection findings, code deficiencies, repair recommendations, and system upgrades.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, equipment, and a safe, organized work environment while following all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Massachusetts Licensed Sprinkler Journeyman/Fitter License required.
- Experience servicing, inspecting, and maintaining commercial fire sprinkler systems.
- Strong working knowledge of wet, dry, pre-action, and fire pump systems.
- Thorough understanding of NFPA 25 inspection, testing, and maintenance requirements.
- Ability to diagnose sprinkler system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience using electronic service documentation or mobile field service software (ServiceTrade experience is a plus).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in commercial, industrial, and outdoor environments.
- Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, at heights, and in confined spaces.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
