Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic techniques are followed
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), including 3D scans when applicable, while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
- Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accurate medical documentation and coding
- Perform chairside assisting with vital signs measurement and medical imaging to support comprehensive patient care
- Provide excellent customer service as a dental receptionist by scheduling appointments and answering patient inquiries
- Maintain infection control protocols and ensure all equipment is sterilized according to industry standards
- Support patients with pediatric dentistry needs by creating a friendly environment and explaining procedures clearly
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments
- Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical records management is essential
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is required; experience with Epic or similar platforms is a plus
- Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, anatomy knowledge, and dental assisting procedures is necessary
- Experience with X-ray technology, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging tools enhances your ability to support diverse treatments
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and proper handling of medical documentation
- Ability to perform four-handed dentistry techniques efficiently for optimal patient comfort and workflow

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
