Duties
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to uphold cleanliness standards throughout the facility
- Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as restroom sanitation, window cleaning, and surface disinfecting to ensure a hygienic environment
- Assist with custodial responsibilities involving floor care techniques like buffing, polishing, and carpet cleaning to maintain a polished appearance
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for lighting, plumbing, or equipment issues and assisting with minor repairs when qualified
- Engage in industrial cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning of storage areas or high-traffic zones to sustain safety and cleanliness standards
- Support residential painting projects or touch-ups as needed to maintain the aesthetic quality of the facility
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained for safety and efficiency
Qualifications
- Prior experience in janitorial, custodial, or facilities maintenance roles is highly desirable
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures, floor care techniques including buffing and polishing, and industrial cleaning methods
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning equipment safely
- Familiarity with basic maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Experience with custodial services or porter duties in commercial or residential settings is preferred
