Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, energetic Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dedicated healthcare team. Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper manual handling techniques like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards
- Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support
- Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy (blood draws), and aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards
- Support patient transfer methods using safe lifting practices and equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer boards
- Document all patient interactions thoroughly in electronic health records (EHR/Epic/eClinicalWorks), maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines
Requirements
- Valid CNA certification with active state licensure
- Experience working with geriatric patients in long-term care or nursing home environments preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (CPR) certification required
- Prior experience in critical care settings such as ICU or Level I/II trauma centers is highly desirable
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or Epic for accurate medical documentation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safe lifting practices during patient transfers and manual handling tasks
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and caregivers while maintaining patient confidentiality

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
