Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Unit: Acute Medicine Unit (621A)
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 12-Hour Days
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Pay package: $1600 to $1700 weekly
Duties
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews using advanced EMR/EHR systems such as Epic and Cerner.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following HIPAA guidelines and aseptic techniques, including IV infusions and medication management.
- Monitor patients’ conditions closely, utilizing telemetry and ventilator management skills to respond swiftly to changes in status.
Skills
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical records management.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to perform effective patient assessments and interventions.
- Experience working in various settings including hospital medicine, emergency room (ER), ICU or trauma centers such as Level I or Level II trauma experience.
- Skilled in critical care procedures like airway management, tube feeding, catheterization (including Foley and central lines), ostomy care and sterile processing techniques.
Pay: $1,600.00 - $1,700.00 per week
Experience:
- Medical-surgical: 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- RN License (Preferred)
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- ACLS Certification (Preferred)
- NIHSS Certification (Preferred)
