RN Nurse Manager position details:
This is a Full Time salaried day shift position. Rotating on-call availability is required. This position is eligible for a recruitment and retention bonus.
RN Nurse Manager job duties include:

Review the care requirements of each resident admitted to the community and assist in planning for the resident’s care.

Review resident care needs and physician’s orders.

Participate in the development of a written plan of care (preliminary and comprehensive) for each resident that identifies the problems/needs of the resident and that indicates the care to be given, goals to be accomplished, and which professional service is responsible for each element of care.

Provide guidance and training for new staff, as well as completing probationary and annual reviews for select staff members.

Review complaints and grievances made by the resident, families, and/or visitors and make oral/written reports indicating which action(s) were taken to resolve the complaint or grievance.

Ensure that all staff, residents, visitors, etc., follow established safety regulations including fire protection/prevention, smoking regulations, infection control, and appropriate dress code.

RN Nurse Manager qualifications:
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in New York State.

Must have, as a minimum, 3-5 years of experience as an RN Nurse Manager in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related healthcare facility.

Must have training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.

Electronic medical records experience is preferred.

Must be CPR and first aid certified.
- Must have verbal and written English skills.
