Job Summary
The candidate for the janitor position must have experience in cleaning large areas, restrooms, gym equipment and outdoor areas. We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment across our facilities. This vital role ensures that all areas are properly cleaned, sanitized, and organized to support a healthy workplace. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across various areas such as offices, event spaces, floors, gym and restrooms.
- Handle cleaning products safely during cleaning processes, following all chemical handling safety procedures and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain high standards of sanitation in compliance with industry regulations such as GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety protocols where applicable.
- Use industrial cleaning equipment effectively to ensure thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, and machinery.
- Assist with heavy lifting and moving supplies or equipment as needed to when delivered. organize maintenance room.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and make lists of products to order.
- Document cleaning activities accurately in logs or reports and communicate any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly to management.
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, food processing, or manufacturing settings.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical agent handling, and sanitation standards relevant to food safety and GMP environments.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in physically demanding situations.
- Basic math skills for measuring chemicals or supplies accurately.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and commercial cleaning practices.
- Strong adherence to safety protocols including chemical handling safety procedures and PPE use.
- Warehouse experience or background in food production or processing is a plus but not required.
