Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure their comfort and dignity.
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, recognizing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals.
- Support medication administration following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Facilitate patient transfers using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts to ensure safety for both client and caregiver.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being, especially for clients with dementia or neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces.
- Assist with transportation for appointments or community outings, ensuring safe and reliable client mobility.
- Follow all safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures to respond effectively during emergencies.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized care plans that meet each client’s unique needs.
Experience
- One year prior experience working in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to observe patient conditions closely and communicate effectively with team members about any concerns or changes.
- Experience with specialized care such as Alzheimer’s/dementia care, memory care, and hospice support is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and patient monitoring techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with patient transfer methods including Hoyer lifts and proper manual handling practices is advantageous.
- Proven ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal care assistance with compassion and professionalism.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays enhances your capability to deliver comprehensive support.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid, and additional certifications related to geriatrics or neurodevelopmental disorders are a plus.

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
