About the Role
TGBG Management is looking for a hands-on Crew Leader to run a construction/maintenance crew across our multifamily portfolio. This is a working lead role — you'll be on tools alongside your team, not just directing from the sidelines. You'll own project scheduling, quality, and crew accountability while personally handling the trickier technical work.
What You'll Do
- Lead a crew of 3–10 through unit turns, capital projects, and property-wide repair work
- Perform and oversee roofing repairs and replacements, concrete work (patios, walkways), welding/fabrication, interior and exterior painting, and plumbing repairs
- Diagnose issues on-site and make the call on repair vs. replace
- Schedule and sequence work across multiple properties to hit turn deadlines and minimize vacancy loss
- Order materials and manage a budget for supplies; keep costs in line
- Train and supervise crew members; enforce safety standards and jobsite cleanliness
- Coordinate with property managers on unit readiness, work order priorities, and resident-impacting work
- Maintain accurate records of completed work, materials used, and time spent (AppFolio experience a plus)
What You Bring
- 5+ years hands-on experience across roofing, concrete, welding, painting, and plumbing (jack-of-all-trades background strongly preferred over single-trade specialists)
- 2+ years leading or supervising a crew
- Comfortable reading basic plans/specs and troubleshooting on the fly
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation between sites
- Own hand tools (company provides power tools/equipment)
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work outdoors in Memphis heat/weather
- Multifamily or residential property experience a plus, not required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
