Job Summary
We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Yard Worker to join our team. This is a physically demanding, outdoor position that requires someone who enjoys working outside and isn't afraid of hard work. The ideal candidate is reliable, punctual, takes pride in their work, and is willing to work outside all day.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload semi-trucks with plant material and other products.
- Move, organize, and stage inventory throughout the yard.
- Maintain the health and appearance of plants by watering, pruning, weeding, and performing general plant care.
- Safely operate a forklift and other equipment (or be willing to learn).
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing incoming shipments.
- Keep the yard clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50–80 pounds on a regular basis.
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work throughout the day.
- Willing to work outdoors in hot, cold, windy, rainy, and other weather conditions.
- Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Dependable, reliable, and consistently on time.
- Self-motivated and able to complete tasks without constant supervision.
- Ability to follow directions and work safely.
- Previous experience in landscaping, nurseries, agriculture, warehouses, or outdoor labor is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull 50–80 pounds.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
- Work outdoors for the entire shift in varying weather conditions.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment safely.
