JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Sales Associate
Provides excellent customer service and maintains a clean, customer friendly environment in the store. Stocks, merchandises and performs basic forecasting and ordering (upon completion of appropriate training.)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides good customer services in a friendly, courteous and prompt manner.
- Uses special cash and specialty product equipment that affect the sales process, such as money orders, LDC (long distance cards), cash dispensers, credit card purchases, lottery sales and redemption equipment, CRIND maintenance (paper/receipts), check processing and scanning equipment.
- Maintains an awareness of cleanliness both inside and outside of the store and follows up to take corrective action.
- Performs all regular cleaning task/activities that are included on job assignments.
- Assists with maintaining proper operation of store equipment, such as fountain machines, refrigerated cases, and syrup boxes.
- Maintains required food handlers certification/license.
- Has knowledge and awareness of monthly sales plan. Displays featured items as recommended and assists customers with purchases.
- Assists with product forecasting and ordering with the guidance of a store team member who is ordering certified.
QUALFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Position requires basic math skills and the ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and customers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires constant standing, bending and reaching with a moderate amount of manual dexterity. Frequent lifting of 1 to 5 pounds and occasional lifting of up to
40 – 50 pounds are required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Tasks are performed inside of the store in all areas of the store, including exposure to cold while working in the vault, and on the exterior of the store while maintaining the parking lot and all surrounding areas within the parking lot.
