A Nursing and Rehab Center is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistants to join our team.
The ideal therapist will work diligently to restore function while preventing further decline in patients’ ability to perform day to day meaningful tasks. This person must demonstrate strong observation skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and possess the ability to work closely with others in a manner essential to delivering the highest level of care to all patients.
Responsibilities:
-Assist the Physical Therapist in evaluating and treating patients with various musculoskeletal conditions
-Implement treatment plans under the supervision of the Physical Therapist
- Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities to patients
- Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with acute care settings and occupational health practices
- Experience in providing patient care and assisting with therapeutic exercises
- Proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques
Skills:
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Excellent problem-solving abilities to address patient needs and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail to accurately document patient progress and treatment outcomes
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, bending, lifting, and assisting patients
