What You'll Do
- Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Assist residents in improving mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional independence.
- Accurately document treatments, resident progress, and outcomes in accordance with facility, state, federal, and payer requirements.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, occupational and speech therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members to provide exceptional resident care.
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and safety strategies.
- Participate in care plan meetings and contribute to individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain a safe, clean therapy environment while following infection prevention and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of employment.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
- A compassionate, resident-centered approach to care.
