Royal Trees is a growing mature tree nursery and installation company based in Front Royal, VA. We specialize in the sale, delivery, installation, & transplanting of high-quality trees for residential and commercial properties. We focus on doing great work, taking care of our customers, and creating outdoor spaces that last.
This is a full-time, on-site role that splits time between our nursery yard and active job sites. As the Operations Supervisor, you will oversee laborers and ensure operations run smoothly both in the field and at the nursery.
You will be responsible for leading tree planting projects, ensuring jobs are completed safely and to Royal Trees standards. When not on installations, you will manage nursery operations, such as maintaining the grounds, assist customers at the yard, etc. You will operate trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment daily.
Most heavy lifting is done with an excavator or skid steer, but physical labor is still required.
Duties & Responsibilities
Field & Installation:
- Lead and supervise crew members during tree planting and installation & landscaping projects.
- Safely operate and transport equipment, trees, and materials using company trucks and trailers.
- Maintain communication with the owner to ensure job progress and quality standards.
- Operate excavators and skid steer machinery for projects.
- Provide professional and respectful customer interaction.
Nursery & Yard Operations:
Inventory Management: Organize tree stock, unload delivery trucks, and ensure trees are properly tagged and displayed.
Customer Service: Assist walk-in customers with selecting trees, loading their vehicles, & responding to customer messages.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in landscaping, tree installation, or nursery work required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL or DOT card is a plus).
- Ability to tow, back, and maneuver trailers confidently.
- Experience operating heavy equipment (Excavators, Skid Steers, etc.).
- Strong leadership and organizational skills—you must be able to manage tasks without constant supervision.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
- Must be reliable.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
