Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT)
Location: Winnetka, CA or
Schedule: 1 Day per Week (Consistent Day)
Setting: Nursing Home and/or Assisted Living Facility
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and licensed LCSW or LMFT to provide mental health services to residents in skilled nursing and/or assisted living settings located in Glendale or Burbank, California. This position involves conducting psychotherapy sessions with residents experiencing a range of emotional, cognitive, and adjustment-related concerns commonly associated with aging, medical illness, and life transitions.
The clinician will provide services one consistent day per week, seeing approximately 20 clients during the scheduled service day.
This role is ideal for clinicians seeking a flexible, part-time opportunity providing meaningful care to an older adult population.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual psychotherapy services to residents of nursing homes and/or assisted living facilities
- Conduct clinical assessments and treatment planning as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with facility staff and care teams to support residents’ mental health and emotional well-being
- Monitor residents for changes in mental status, mood, or behavioral functioning and adjust care accordingly
- Adhere to all HIPAA, ethical, and professional guidelines
Schedule & Work Structure
- 1 day per week (consistent weekly day)
- Approximately 20 clients scheduled during the service day
- Services provided on-site at facilities in Glendale or Burbank
Required Qualifications
- Active California license as one of the following:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT)
- License must be current and in good standing with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
- Experience providing psychotherapy services
- Ability to work independently in a facility-based setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with older adults or geriatric populations
- Familiarity with long-term care, assisted living, or skilled nursing environments
- Experience addressing depression, anxiety, grief, adjustment disorders, and cognitive decline
Compensation
- $55 per 3 clients (approximately 16 minutes per client)
- Approximately 20 clients scheduled per service day
- Compensation is structured based on completed client sessions & completion of notes
- 1099 contractor
Pay: $60.00 per hour
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Preferred)
