Responsibilities
- Operate boom trucks, cranes, backhoes, excavators, forklifts, and other heavy equipment with precision and safety.
- Rig and secure materials for lifting or transportation using appropriate rigging techniques.
- Handle materials efficiently within warehouse environments, including shipping and receiving operations.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Assist with construction site activities by supporting material movement and logistical coordination.
- Maintain clear communication with team members regarding equipment operation and site safety protocols.
- Support warehouse operations by managing inventory, organizing supplies, and ensuring proper storage of materials.
- Operate boom systems safely and efficiently on site
- Work alongside hoisting and scaffolding teams
- Follow all NYC jobsite safety and compliance standards
- Coordinate with supervisors and foremen
- Maintain equipment and ensure operational readiness
Experience
- Experience as a Boom Operator (Limited HMO required)
- Ability to work 50 hours/week consistently
- Strong safety awareness
- Willingness to commit to long-term union career path
- NYC construction site experience preferred
Pay: $130,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
