CNC Machinist (Manual Machining Experience Preferred) – Full-Time
Schedule: Full-Time, standard shifts (overtime, weekends, and holidays as required)
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to support the production needs of a fast-paced manufacturing plant. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC equipment to produce precision parts that keep production running efficiently and on schedule. The ideal candidate understands the importance of minimizing downtime, maintaining consistent quality, and working with urgency to meet production demands. Experience with both CNC and manual machining is highly valued to support a wide range of repair, replacement, and production work.
Key Responsibilities
· Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes
· Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
· Perform manual machining operations (mills, lathes, grinders) as needed
· Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with tolerances and quality standards
· Make tool offsets, adjustments, and minor program edits as required
· Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machining equipment
· Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
· Maintain production efficiency while ensuring quality workmanship
· Complete work orders and maintain accurate production records
· Follow all safety procedures and company policies
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade certification preferred
· Minimum 2 years CNC machining experience required
· Manual machining experience preferred
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
· Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment
· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
· G-code editing or CNC programming experience
· Experience in a job shop or production environment
· Experience with multiple machine types and controls
Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to work in a shop environment with noise, heat, and machinery
