Job Title: Delivery Driver
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver / Warehouse Assistant to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for transporting furniture from our warehouse to various locations in a safe and timely manner. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and a strong work ethic. Work hours will be from 8am-4pm Monday through Friday.
Duties:
- Safely and efficiently transport furniture to customer homes
- Utilize delivery tools and equipment for safety and efficiency
- Utilize basic mechanical knowledge to help keep track of scheduled vehicle maintenance
- Collaborate with supervisor for efficient delivery operations
- Assist with picking, unpacking, and loading/unloading of furniture
- Build positive relationships with customers through timely deliveries and professional demeanor
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, and moving items on/off sales floor as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or similar role
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate and maintain delivery box truck
- Familiarity with furniture handling procedures
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
-Ability to lift heavy furniture in awkward spaces
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Proficiency in order picking processes
- Basic woodworking/carpentry skills
- Familiarity with picking, packing, and shipping/receiving tasks
